Synopsis
Horatio is an aging retired police officer sent begrudgingly to a skilled nursing facility after a fall. Struggling to figure out where he belongs in an “old folks home” landscape, he stumbles upon a community choir preparing for their annual “Christmas Carol Crawl.” The elderly singers are vivacious, full of life, and they begin to soften his hardened exterior.
Meanwhile, his daughter in law Alexis is on an identity journey of her own. Highly sought-after by insurance companies, she’s an attorney who exploits policy loopholes to defend against elderly clients’ claims. But when Horatio ends up in the nursing facility, she is confronted with the impact of her work. Will Horatio join the choir and find joy in an unlikely place? Will Alexis continue on her wounded path, or will circumstances coax her toward a life much more rewarding?
